Lovedrug

This post isn't really about Lovedrug, but their name demands much more attention than the band I am going to post about, Kerith Ravine. Most of you probably don't have a clue who they are. They are barely mentioned in the Lovedrug biography on their website, and you aren't going to find out much by searching for "Kerith Ravine" on Google. The basic information is that Kerith Ravine is the former band of two of Lovedrug's members, Adam Ladd and "singer/songwriter/guitarist/keyboardist" Michael Shepard. While Lovedrug has more of a Coldplay feel (yet much harder), Kerith Ravine sounds like a mixture of Smashing Pumpkins/My Bloody Valentine/Sunny Day Real Estate, three bands I adore. Lovedrug released their debut album in 2004, "Pretend You're Alive." However, there is much work that precedes this album. For one, the Lovedrug "Rock N Roll" EP, and three Kerith Ravine releases: 1999's "Drafting Sessions" EP, 2000's "Streams of Jettison" LP, and 2001's "Lined Up in Pairs We Wait" EP. The only one I can find any mention of online is the LP. I was looking for the cover images, and couldn't find those either, so I took some rough shots myself: Kerith Ravine also had one additional song appear on Deep Elm Records Emo Diaries Volume 5. In the two download links below you will find all of Kerith Ravine's songs plus two Lovedrug tracks from the previously mentioned EP. One song from that EP,"The Narcoleptic", is available on iTunes, but two others "Skeleton Jill" and "Goodbye Blue Fly" cannot be found anywhere. Kerith Ravine- The Streams of Jettison Kerith Ravine- The EPs Let me know if you guys are enjoying this stuff, not sure how many of the things I post are actually being downloaded. Also, if you have any requests for music pass those along. I am not going to post anything that can be bought, but for anything rare or out of print I will do my best.
