Stavesacre

Stavesacre finally has a new album coming out, supposedly March 21, entitled 'How to Live With a Curse.' It is their first album since 2002's self-titled, but more importantly, it should be their first quality release in 7 years. Stavesacre released three amazing albums in the late 90's, 'Friction' (1996), 'Absolutes' (1997), and 'Speakeasy' (1999). After their hiatus, they released a sub-par LP in 2002. Many opinions on why it wasn't as good as their older stuff, from change in band members, to production quality, to song-writing; but overall consensus from fans and band members alike is that it was not their best work. Last year they released an EP, 'Bull Takes Fighter', which contained the best four songs they had written in a long time. Recently they have begun posting songs from their new album. These songs are AMAZING. Easily the best stuff they have done since 1999's 'Speakeasy.' The songs 'Grace' and 'Kill My Darlings' are currently streaming on their Myspace page. 'It's Beautiful' was also streaming, but only for a few days. The first two mp3s (160 kbps) I made myself and I think sound pretty good. The third (128 kbps) I never heard online, so someone emailed me an mp3, and it is pretty rough. edit: Album Out 4/18
